I reckon its safe, but clarifiers are harsh (lots of sulfates and EDTA). The general recommendation is once a week. Even so, you might have an extra oily scalp that needs it more than once a week. So use a clarifyer on the days your hair feels oily (or if you used styling products the day before). The rest of the time, use another type of shampoo.
