What is your bird-safe carpet shampoo recipe?

Yogi is right, even if he doesn't think he was much help :-) A good steam cleaning is best for your carpet, for the birds and for your own atmosphere.

Baking soda is a good deodorizer and vinegar is good for spot stains but overall, steam cleaning is usually best.

Peroxide and water. Peroxide is safe, lifts stains and kills bacteria. There's no soap involved, no residue and no odor.

Of course, you can get rid of your carpet and lay down some tile like many bird owners end up doing :)What is your bird-safe carpet shampoo recipe?
Very often when you try to clean your rug you cannot remove all the soap residue. It then leaves a sticky film which attracts and holds dirt . Maybe plain hot water would remove some of it. That was a big help wasn't it?
Dish soap will not clean a carpet and it leaves a residue that will attract more dirt and smells.

Rent a steam cleaner. Go over it twice.
you can just use regular cleaner it wont hurt the birds I now because my friend does tell me stuff about birds
